How are things

Well I’ve been pretty busy lately. I’ve taken on a lot of ESL (english as à second language) students and it is quite lucrative so I’m more secure than I have been in the past. I am however missing out somewhat on my personal life activities But I am really enjoying my work and spending a lot of time developing my lessons and worksheets.

I’m in a new living situation that I absolutely love! In exchange for an apartment in an amazing building and neighborhood I give a few hours of English classes to two wonderful boys who I adore. I actually spend a good bit of time with them that it doesn’t feel like I am working. They invite me over for meals, brought me soup when I had the flu, bring me on cultural activities that are really informative and fun, and the boys brought me up a piece of gâteau roi; a new year’s tradition. They always try to show me new things and I appreciate it so much! I’m even making video clips for the mom’s website. So they are using all my talents which allows me to never get bored and feeling really fulfilled. It is wonderful to feel included in a family again after almost three years of insisting to live on my own.

About Emilie

I'm a small girl with big ambitions and very little common sense it seems. I decided after I graduated from college that I would move from my little city of Lafayette Louisiana to the raging monster city that is Paris. In 4 months of planning I have now uprooted everything I had in an amazing town to live in a truly wild place where I have no idea WHAT I am going to do. But isn't that the fun of it all. So here is cheers to getting lost, breaking hearts, starving, and many wonderful adventures that come along with finding yourself.
